The Dusty dust detector is designed for rapid detection of dust particles after a filtration process and is installed in metal pipes where dust particles in the gas need to be quickly identified.
Operation
When dust particles are detected in the filtered flow after a filtration process, an alarm is immediately triggered, indicating potential filter leakage. The sensor can measure dust concentrations as low as 0.1 mg/m³ and is suitable for use in hazardous zones, including areas with explosion risks. The Dusty uses a triboelectric effect: as dust particles move past or against the sensor, a measurement signal is generated, activating a switch once a certain threshold is reached.
System
The Dusty is a compact device operating on a 24 V DC power supply. The default alarm threshold is set at 25 mg/m³ dust, adjustable by the user to suit specific applications, within a range of 5 mg/m³ to 150 mg/m³.
Applications
The Dusty can be used in nearly all metal ducts, both in clean gas and dust applications, and is particularly suited for filter monitoring. It enables early detection of filter damage before complete failure, allowing timely filter replacement.
Advantages
