Piëzoelectric Velocity Vibration Sensors (VE + PV Series)

Piezoelectric Velocity Vibration Sensors (VE + PV Series)

Meggitt Vibro-meter – VE210

  • Designed for long-term measurement of vibrations in demanding environments, such as hydro and steam turbines (low-speed machines)
  • Very low-frequency response: up to 0.5 Hz
  • Temperature range: -25 to 80 °C
  • Current output (50 µA/mm/s) for signal transmission over long distances or voltage output (50 mV/mm/s) for signal transmission over medium distances
  • Mountable in any direction

Meggitt Vibro-meter – PV660

  • Designed for general vibration measurements, typically in balance-of-plant (BOP) machines such as compressors, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and fans
  • Industrial standard IEPE (Integrated Electronics Piezo-Electric) vibration sensor
  • Dynamic voltage output signal (4 mV/mm/s) suitable for spectral analysis
  • Usually connected to a machine monitoring system for protection and/or condition monitoring purposes
  • Protection class IP68

Meggitt Vibro-meter – PV685

  • Designed for general vibration measurements, typically in balance-of-plant (BOP) machines such as compressors, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and fans
  • Industrial standard 4 to 20 mA loop-powered vibration sensor (vibration transmitter)
  • Quasi-static output signal (4 to 20 mA proportional to 0 to 20, 0 to 25, or 0 to 50 mm/s) indicating “general” vibration
  • Usually connected to a machine monitoring system for protection purposes and/or to a control system such as a DCS or PLC for monitoring and/or control purposes
  • Protection class IP68
