Istec SpeedSys 19″ Rack
The Istec SpeedSys® Rack is a modular, SIL2 or SIL3 certified 19” rack solution designed for straightforward installation and operational efficiency. With a compact 3HE height, it fits seamlessly into standard 19” cabinets and enables rapid deployment in safety-critical environments.
Advanced detection technology
SpeedSys offers precise overspeed, underspeed, and acceleration detection for both critical and semi-critical rotating machinery. Designed for flexibility, the system is scalable and suitable for all common industry standards, including API 670 and API 612.
Trusted by global OEMs
SpeedSys is trusted by leading OEMs and system integrators worldwide for its uncompromising safety, fast response time, and ease of integration. Its compact and modular design enables seamless implementation in both new builds and retrofit projects – from microturbines to high-end turbomachinery.
Safety system by design
Certified for SIL 2/3 with 2oo3 voting logic, SpeedSys delivers rapid hardware response (<8 ms), six relays (2 per channel), Modbus RS485, binary I/O, and advanced diagnostics. Designed for durability, with a typical 10-year proof test interval.
Design
The Istec SpeedSys Rack is a compact, rack-mounted system that offers certified SIL2 or SIL3 protection for overspeed and acceleration. Built to meet the latest industrial safety standards, it enables fast and fail-safe integration into safety-critical environments.
Each unit is fully pre-wired for easy deployment: all module connections are mapped 1-to-1 to the rear panel, with only the Reset/Test IN routed to the front for convenient operator access. Optional speed displays can be added for local readouts per channel, providing real-time visibility.
The SpeedSys Rack is available in both SIL2 and SIL3 versions, powered by either SpeedSys 200 or SpeedSys 300 modules.
