Flow measurement for dry bulk – SolidFlow 2.0
The SolidFlow from Envea (formerly SWR) is a system specifically developed for measuring the flow of solid materials during free-fall or pneumatic transport. Using Envea’s innovative microwave technology, the SolidFlow performs inline flow measurements without placing any parts of the system directly into the material stream, making the system very easy to install and ensuring it does not interfere with product flow.
The SolidFlow sensor operates based on a microwave field created within the pipe. These microwaves are reflected by the particles being measured, and the sensor receives these reflections. The system analyzes the received signals in terms of frequency and amplitude, enabling it to count the particles in the flow. With frequency-selective analysis, the system ensures that stationary (attached) particles are not counted.
