Dust detection environment – Airsafe 2
The AirSafe 2 from Envea (formerly SWR) provides an effective solution for monitoring and detecting dust concentrations in an area (dust concentration measurement). With the AirSafe 2, dust explosions in hazardous zones can be prevented, dust concentrations in work environments can be safely monitored, and the escape of dust from a system can be quickly detected.
The AirSafe 2 consists of an air duct with a tribo-electric dust sensor. Ambient air is channeled through the system at approximately 100 m³/h. Dust particles present in the air cause a charge change as they pass by or contact the sensor, which is used as the measurement signal. This signal is then converted into a standard process output that can be used for display or alarm purposes.
