This digital differential pressure transmitter from Fischer allows for setting two limit values to control a relay, a digital output, and an optional transmitter output (4-20 mA). The DE45 has a range of 0..4 mbar to 0..250 mbar and -2.5..2.5 mbar to -60..60 mbar. It is also available for ATEX zone 2 / zone 22 applications.

The DE45 uses a piezo element to detect differential pressure, as well as negative and positive atmospheric pressure. When pressure is applied to the sensor, the resistance value changes, which is then converted into a voltage proportional to the applied pressure. The microchip processes the signal and directs it to the LED display, the relay, and the optional 4-20 mA analog output.

Applicability

The DE45 from Fischer is ideal for building automation applications, such as ventilation systems, climate control, and air handling systems. It is also used for draft measurements in chimneys, as well as for monitoring filters and vacuum systems.
