Policy statement on Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE)

The management recognizes its responsibility regarding the care for quality, safety, health, and environment (QHSE) and the monitoring and continuous improvement of these aspects within the organization.

As a trading and service organization, Istec is focused on the lifetime value of its customers. The aim is to provide optimal support and services through a well-structured organization. Quality, in the broadest sense, and its continuous improvement are integral parts of the organization’s strategy and form the basis of the company’s market position. Istec strives for continuous development of its processes to perform optimally as an organization and to monitor, improve, and ensure quality and effectiveness.

Creating and maintaining safe and environmentally responsible working conditions are key objectives within the organization and are integral to the general business policy. The organization is committed to preventing immediate hazards such as personal injury, fires, damage, and exposure to hazardous substances at all times, as well as minimizing negative environmental impacts as much as possible. The organization will act to the best of its ability and in such a way that safety, health, and well-being for employees, temporary workers, clients, visitors, and third parties are ensured, and they are not exposed to unacceptable risks.

Within the organization, it will be ensured that applicable laws and regulations are strictly followed. Every employee will be informed and kept up to date on the applicable (legal) rules and agreements concerning QHSE; compliance is the individual and collective responsibility of all employees. Due to the nature of the work, a high level of personal responsibility is expected from employees. Through an extensive training policy, as well as the resources provided and issued instructions, information, and guidelines, management enables employees and the organization to fulfill the shared responsibility for QHSE.

Responsibility for implementing the QHSE policy rests with the Quality Manager and the HSE Coordinator. The findings and reports from these officials, together with the management’s own observations, form the basis for the annual review, in which the results, effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement of the policy are established.
